To cut a very long explanination short, google have some linux repositories for a number of the more packaging systems inclusing APT (debian, ubuntu etc), YUM, RPM, urpmi and YaST2.

rdiff-backup is awesome. It's a POSIX backup tool providing a (possibly remote) mirror and an incremental difference history (should that be decremental history?) of the mirror.

BackupNinja (website currently down) is even better. It's a curses (ie text based) wizard for setting up a number of backup tools including rdiff-backup and mysqldump. It does all the fiddly bits like handling ssh keys and setting up cron jobs.

Suppose a website displays banner adverts provided by a third party, most likely Google given their dominance in these areas. Suppose one of these adverts were to be an animated GIF or similar. Just who is in for the chop if the advert flashes, strobes or otherwise changes in a way that provokes photosensitive epilepsy and similar?

W00t. I think. This looks like Firefox with half a billion plugins rammed up it's arse. I'm gonna use this when I'm despret enough to use windows and see what happens. You can tell when I'm using Flock becus I'll be using speling 2.0
