I'm trying to use Ping.FM to push content from my Drupla based blog to the wider world.

The Great Interoperability Surge (or lack of)
I just noticed facebook can munch on my RSS feed and thus deliver my ravings via facebook without having to resort to the Live Journal cross poster (which is currently broken) and then use the live journal connect application....
It's a start I guess. My little vision goes along the lines of people using whatever the hell they want to use to store their rants, raves and probably embarrassing photos, allow their friends to do the same and whatever kind of data-sharing cohesion that exists between sites happens by standardised protocols.
I suppose you're thinking why?

It's what I mean....
The endless headache:
My pages looks different to how it was in [Word/TinyMCE/Xinha]
Since the dawn of word processing, the temptation is to treat an editor like a typewriter and arrange the appearance of the text to match the meaning you are trying to convey.

Community site. Walls included to keep the nasties out?
I love community sites. Everybody has their own favourite. I feel there is something wrong with the world when I have to be a member of every social networking site out there just so people don't think i'm being rude, or worse still, don't even exist.
I'm sure it's cheating to use the live-journal cross poster but let's see what happens.

Xinha warrior princess verses The Web Browser
I'm using IE 6 right now. I don't particularly like it, however it does work with Xinha http://xinha.python-hosting.com/. Firefox works with Xinha. Konqueror doesn't. No bloody javascript editor works nicely with Konqueror, and I happen to like Konqueror. It's a bit fast.
And then there's Opera. One day a site will look right in Opera. ....yeah right. Like that's going to happen.

The death of wordpress.
Yeah i used to love wordpress. Then i tried Drupal and found it did all the things I wish wordpress did. But yes, i'm using Drupal for this site and Scifi.me.uk. I will most likely use drupal for leedsroleplay.org.uk as well.Update: leedsroleplay.org.uk now drupalised.

Flock. w00t?
