Lights, camera, totally-unrelated cake

There's something to be said for taking a few hundred photos and being completely unable to decide which are worth publicising. Saturday night was my first chance to try my new camera somewhere challenging, and I'm blown away the results.[img_assist|nid=219|title=|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=150|height=113]

Maybe I take too many photos of glowing lights, but I'm impressed with the performance of the camera on exposure times of over a second. I wasn't expecting it to anywhere near as good. And I don't seem to be able to take a bad[img_assist|nid=218|title=|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=113|height=150] portrait.

And there was totally-unrelated cake show up when I finally returned home. Bonus!
