There's something wrong with the Facebook row. FUD aside, I have some thoughts I'd like to share:
My understanding of the situation is Facebook would like any content you choose to share stays shared with the people you shared it with, and have tried to make the necessary changes to their policies and user agreements to reflect that, and have done so in legalese.

Social interaction seems to be going mammaries-skyward. I might have spent the last hour discussing what to tell facebook and thus the world about my life. I should have screenshotted the relationship request, but I forgot. It may have been an XKCD moment. Either way my life is now complete as big brother* now knows waht kind of deviance I'm doing with who again.
I like this. I like this a lot. I shall write on my contact me page that copies will be retained.
Several years ago I took it upon myself to bring my mother at least into the 90s. And now it's coming back to bite me. The current challenge is to find a laptop. A laptop for the sole purpose of Powerpoint. And we wander into the idiocy of consumer hardware and the complete failure of countless software engineers to adapt.
Yes I really want my every move tracked by Microsoft, I want them to know exactly what software I have on my computer, cos most of it's not theirs. As for my browsing habits, maybe Microsoft should read the register too.
