Either I'm having come kind of cognitive failure or the EU is verging on Banana-Curvature stupidity again. Let's leave whether or not it was anti-competitive for Microsoft to bundle Internet Explorer with windows and take a look at what any ruling against Micrsoft may imply.

I've just been watching Survivors on iPlayer whilst rebuilding an unfortunate old PC that died of deathstaritis. It made me think about surviving the worst case scenarios, what tech would I want to survive a zombie apocalypse? What software should I keep several copies of? Is gentoo the answer? And then I found a worst of all worst case scenarios: What software is essential to survive the windows experience?

Adding Google software to linux
To cut a very long explanination short, google have some linux repositories for a number of the more packaging systems inclusing APT (debian, ubuntu etc), YUM, RPM, urpmi and YaST2.
